CarGurus Alerts Are Now Available in Classifindr
CarGurus alerts are now available in Classifindr. You can create focused used-vehicle searches in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, plus new-vehicle searches in the United States and Canada.
The setup is built around the vehicle decisions that matter. Choose a make and model when you know what you want, or use a body style to compare broader used options. Then add practical year, mileage, distance, and price ranges.
Start with one clear vehicle goal
A useful search should describe a car you would genuinely review. For example:
- a used Honda Civic within a set year and mileage range
- a new Toyota RAV4 inside a practical buying distance
- used SUVs under a clear budget
CarGurus uses its own focused vehicle-search setup in Classifindr. That keeps its vehicle choices clear and avoids relying on a long, ambiguous query.
Choose ranges that fit the buying plan
Use year and mileage ranges to separate newer low-mileage cars from broader value searches. Set a distance that reflects how far you would travel, and keep the price range close to the budget you can use.
If two vehicles or buying areas would lead to different decisions, create separate searches. Each can keep its own criteria, check speed, and alert channels.
Match the check speed to urgency
CarGurus searches can be checked every 1, 10, or 60 minutes.
A 1 minute check suits a specific, competitive vehicle when you are ready to review matches quickly. A 10 minute check works well for an active search with some flexibility. A 60 minute check is useful for background market watching.
Matches can go to mobile push, Telegram, Discord, email, Web Push, or webhooks. Use a prominent channel for an active purchase and a quieter one for longer-term research.
Review the original vehicle listing
An alert helps you find a relevant vehicle, but the original listing remains the place to confirm availability, specifications, mileage, price, location, seller information, and buying terms.
Classifindr is an independent service. It does not ask for your CarGurus sign-in, and monitoring remains best effort.
